Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United America. The Corcoran Group, an NYC-based real estate brokerage was started by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then exited the company. Corcoran has been a part of 12 of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. In February of 2020, she has made 53 deals on the show, with the biggest one being $350,000 in 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater (New Jersey) as the second of ten children in a Catholic Irish working class family. Florence Corcoran's mom, was a housewife. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was a mover between jobs and the next throughout Corcoran's youth. Her family often relied on free food deliveries from a local grocery store.
